Welcome to the National Museum of China (NMC). Please enter the North Gate with your ID card after security check. You can visit NMC exhibitions free of charge during the opening hours.

A paid special exhibition is suggested in the Ticket Office, at the counter of the West Hall and on NMC’s official website, and its tickets are sold at the entrance of the related exhibition hall.

Identity document: ID card, student ID card, passport, Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan residents, driving license.

Children: A child not higher than 1.3 m who is attended by an adult may enter without a ticket; a primary school student with his/her parents may enter with his/her student ID card.

Opening Hours: 9:00 am-5:00 pm

Last admission at 4:30 pm, closed at 5:00 pm

Closed on Mondays (including the Mondays of public holidays)

New York Public Library—55 million items

The system of libraries in New York, the New York Public Library, is world-famous for its extensive collection of 55 million items including books, periodicals, musical records and other publications and albums. It was established in 1895. The main branch of the library is located on Fifth Avenue in New York at the intersection with 42nd Streel. In 1965, it was designed as a National Historic Landmark. Today, the New York Public Library has 4 research libraries, branch libraries in Bronx, State Island and Manhattan and several smaller libraries affiliated (附属的) to it.

British Library—150 million items

The British Library can proudly boast of its collection of 150 million books, manuscripts, magazines, music recordings and scores, patents, databases and much more.
