Thirty years ago, my world almost fell apart. I had operation and was fired. In a few weeks, I saw an ad about a Spanish festival. Although I was very upset, and I decided to go. I will never forget the day when I had to go through the simple operation in junior high school. Nervously and frightened, I waited for the time to enter the operating room. Some family member kept telling me that it was going to be fine and I would make it through. I remember waking up and feel so bad. Each student are supposed to give a duty report in our English lessons. The report is usually delivered at beginning of the class. It was my turn to give one on last Friday. I have always believed that sharing is one of the best thing in life. I’d like to sharing with you how sharing makes a difference.
During this summer vacation, I take part in a youth piano competition what was held in my city and won first prize. I was exciting that my hard work paid off in end. At the award ceremony, when asking how I achieved my success, I replied that it was largely due to my parents’ and teachers’ help, but it wasn’t my personal success. We were so proud of to hear that. At that time I realized the wisdom in the saying, ‘A joy shared is a joy doubled’.

I graduated from high school 15 years ago. While I am at school, I began thinking different and making better choices. I also joined in some school clubs. These helped me grow as person. I also learned how to choose friends which encourage me, guide me and listening to my thoughts. That's why I'm peaceful, confident or happy now. There's no rooms in my life for negative people nowadays. When I think back to those high school memories, we seem like a lifetime ago. I ride the bus to work every day. I'm a people-watcher, and I live in a small town, so I see the many of the same people get on the bus every day, on their ride to and from work. For many months, I noticed the elderly man get on the bus at one of the stops, and always head towards the back of the bus. He wore the same clothes every day, well-wear but clean. I never spoke to this gentleman, so I could tell it seemed like he led a simple existence.
One day, I noticed the gentleman on a street corner, on a sign in his hand asking for financial assist. I went home that day, and wrote him a note, said I was grateful for what I had in my life and that I wanted to share some with him. I include a small amount of money, and next day I gave him the note and money in a small envelope when he got on the bus. The third day, he handed me a thank-you note. I will keep my note forever! We now smile and nod to each other on the bus every morning. What a wonderful life I have!
Laughter is the greatest medicine. It helps those that cannot work out become fit. First of all, laughing out loud helps improve your general fitness. This is why laughter strengthens the heart and the lung. Second, a good laugh can relax your muscles. As you laugh, the muscles participated in the laugh become active. After you laugh, these muscles start to relax. Also, laughter make us feel the sense of happiness. Experts say that the positive feelings produce by laughter not only make us happy but also help us to reduce pain.
The next time when you feel upset or disappointing, do not worry. Enjoying a funny comedy or reading some jokes will drive your negative feelings and make you feel much better.
