1 . LHR Airport Parking Rates & Information
The London Heathrow International Airport offers both long and short term parking spaces, each with facilities like shuttle buses (穿梭巴士) and more. LHR also has additional services like electric car charging points. There are also accessible pod parking areas that connect with Terminal (候机楼) 5. They are on-demand and you can access them with a waiting time of less than 30 seconds. However, the place is heavily crowded sometimes and it’s best to make advance booking for it.

To save money, use the LHR long stay parking. It’s available at the eastern perimeter (外缘) road of Terminals 2 and 3, the southern perimeter of Terminal 4 and at the northern perimeter of Terminal 5 next to business parking. Each parking area is set with a boarding point to take shuttle buses and you can keep the keys with you.

2 . Chinese Festivals
As an ancient country, China has various festivals.
The Spring FestivalIn the evening before the Spring Festival, families get together and have a big meal. Children also get lucky money from parents.
The Lantern FestivalDuring this festival, there is special food called “tang yuan”, which is said to symbolize both the first full moon and family unity and completeness. Part of the Lantern Festival tradition involves a game to guess riddles (谜语) attached to the lanterns.
Stilt walking, drumming and the dragon and lion dance are the main entertainment forms of the Lantern Festival.
The Dragon Boat FestivalIt is to celebrate the patriotic poet Qu Yuan, a loyal and highly respected minister, who brought peace and prosperity (繁荣) to the state but ended up drowning himself in a river as a result of being vilified (诽谤).
The Double Seventh FestivalOn the 7th day of the 7th lunar month, there is a traditional festival full of romance. Recently the youth have celebrated it as Valentine’s Day in China.
The Mid-Autumn FestivalIt is a traditional festival for both the Han and minority nationalities in China.The custom of worshipping (礼拜) the moon can be dated back to the ancient Xia and Shang dynasties. The Mid-Autumn Festival is also a holiday for members of a family to get together.
The Double Ninth FestivalOn the ninth day of the ninth month in the Chinese lunar calendar, people celebrate the Double Ninth Festival. People usually climb mountains and eat double-ninth cakes, which means our life will become better and better.

Summer StartSummer Start is a six-week program designed specifically for international undergraduate and graduate students.This is a for-credit program; students receive six credits towards their degree. During the program, you must live on CCA’s San Francisco campus.
Tuition includes six units of discounted graduate college credits, which will include books, field trip expenses and one-on-one tutoring. Housing fees include six weeks at CCA’s San Francisco Panoramic Residence.

The app offers a multitude (众多) of meditation bells and calming musical notes during self-guided meditations. Featuring a variety of professional instructors and courses, Insight Timer also offers more contents for free users than other apps. Although the free option is extensive, the premium version offers courses, downloadable meditations, night mode, and daily insights.
Smiling Mind
It is an evidence-based, not-for-profit mindfulness app with over 300 totally free meditations and mindfulness programs for both adults and children. Its mission is simple: “To provide accessible, life-long tools to support healthy minds” in schools, at home, and in the workplace. Smiling Mind is extremely beginner-friendly, and you can start from scratch, learning about what mindfulness means, how it works, the research behind it, and primer meditation sessions.
Breethe: Meditation Sleep
A nice feature about Breethe is the calming background music that plays while the app is open. even without opening a meditation or music. Breethe offers a lot of sleep contents, including visualizations and bedtime stories. The app does offer a few 7-day courses for free, but the majority (1.000 -plus meditations) is locked behind the paywall.

·Has achieved substantial and long-term benefits to the conservation status of one or more animal or plant species.
·Must be determined to continue his/her conservation work, as the Award aims to stimulate (激励) the winner’s future work. It is not an “end of career” prize.
Additional Remarks
For the 2024 Future For Future Awards, we are again searching for natural leaders, who have proven that they can make a difference in species’ survival.
From all applications, 6 to 10 nominees (被提名者) will be selected. These applicants will be asked to provide additional information, which will be used to select the final Awardees. Ultimately, three inspiring wildlife heroes are selected as the winners.

9 . Like many others, Animal Lovers League (ALL) all started with a love for animals. ALL is a charity and home to over 500 dogs and cats. It encourages the public to adopt (领养) instead of buying animals and tries to help the animals at ALL find loving families.
Tasks that the founders, Cathy and Mohan, as well as volunteers carry out to care for the animals include feeding them, taking sick animals to hospital and bringing them for checkups.
