Why do we say that? That is because phones, computers and TVs can make blue light. The blue light stops our bodies from making melatonin. Even just a little bit of blue light can have an effect (影响). Eight minutes of blue light can keep your brain “awake” for another hour. Your brain won’t have a good rest.

It’s even worse (更差) if you play an exciting game before bed. Games make our hearts beat faster and so we have a harder time falling asleep (入睡). Even we fall asleep, we don’t get as much “deep sleep” as we need.

Now the mobile phone is everywhere. People can do lots of things with it, like making phone calls, playing games and taking photos. But the mobile phone is not always good for students.
