Boris, a foreign student in China, often shares his experiences of Chinese culture on his vlog (视频博客).

In one video, for example, Boris shared how he had learned the Chinese word dongxi. He told people that all marketplaces in ancient Chinese cities     1     (set) up along a single road that ran from east to west. So when you would say qu mai dongxi, you’d be saying, “I’m going to buy things.”

Like many foreigners. Boris once thought China was not that developed. Though shooting these vlogs     6     (take) lots of time, the young man feels proud that his vlogs have inspired many people. Bullet comments refer to real-time comments on video-sharing websites such as Bilibili. While watching videos, people can s    6     comments at any time. These comments show up（出现）one after a    7     on top of the screen, just like the flying bullets. It’s a f    8     way for young people to share their feelings. The number of bullet comments messages people sent on Bilibili g    9     from 1 billion in 2018 to 1.4 billion in 2019. Among them, “AWSL” was sent 3.3 million t    10    , according to Bilibili. "AWSL" was popular with people in 2019.
