In your last letter, you asked me about meals in English homes. Now let me tell you something about it.
In many English homes, people eat four meals a day:breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
People have breakfast at any time from seven to nine in the morning. They eat vegetables, eggs and bread. English people drink tea or coffee at breakfast.
Lunch comes at one o’clock. Afternoon tea is from four to five in the afternoon, and dinner is at about half past seven. First, they have soup; then they have meat or fish with vegetables. After that, they eat some fruits like bananas, apples or oranges. But not all English people like those fruits. Some of them have their dinner in the middle of the day. Their meals are breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea. All these meals are very simple.
I hope you can visit England some day.
Yours,
Eric

I’m happy to get your e-mail this morning. In the e-mail, you tell me that you have a lot of pressure (压力) from your study. You’re not good at math. You don’t have any fun at school. You ask me for help. Here are some of my suggestions.
①__________
You always think math is too difficult for you. Please ask your math teacher for help after class. I am sure he or she will help you. And you can get some advice about learning it well from him or her.
②_________
Find a right time and have a talk with your parents or friends. They will help you relax. Some of your friends are good at their studies, and they can help you learn in a good way.
③_________
After finishing your homework, please play some sports with your friends. They can help you relax and keep healthy. At the same time, you can make some friends.
④__________
Before going to bed every evening, listen to some relaxing music. You can also sing along with the music. It can help you sleep well.
Yours,
Peter

Your brother sounds like a very selfish person. But I want to know what makes him act this way. Since he seems to be doing this on purpose, maybe the only way to do with the problem is to try to find the cause.
I think your brother is probably hurt in some ways. Perhaps he feels unsafe because he is not a full part of the family. He could be displeased with your mother’s love for the rest of you over him.
It is wrong to fight anger with anger though you think it is a need to help your mother. I suggest you try to help your brother by treating him with more care and love. It must be hard for him to grow up in a family where his sisters have their real mother but he doesn’t. Try to let him know that you care about him. With time he may come to know how lucky he is and start to treat you all with the same kindness that you give him.
Yours Truly,
Sue Clarke
