4 . Have you ever met a person that has had a life-changing impact (影响) on you? Well, I have. That person is Miss Huang.

I first met Miss Huang in the year 2016. At that time I was in my first year of middle school. I remember how she walked into our classroom with an English book in her hand. She looked very kind and smart. At that moment I thought to myself, “Maybe this person is going to have a great impact on my life!”

I had many problems going on when I was in Grade Seven. I had problems with my schoolwork. I also had trouble making friends at school. I felt upset (沮丧的) and lonely. I worried about my future and I felt I was lost in that moment. I never went to a teacher because I thought nobody cared about me. However, I decided to give it a try!

One day after class, I went to the teachers’ office. Miss Huang was there. She warmly welcomed me and after I told her about my problems, she said she was happy to help me. We talked about possible solutions (解决办法) to the problems. She also told me what her school life was like at my age. After I walked out of the office, I felt like I was walking on air.

From then on, Miss Huang was always the first person I talked to when I had problems. And I have become a happier person because of her. Now Miss Huang is still my best friend. We often talk to each other and share what is happening in our lives. I feel lucky to have her as a part of my life.
