When the US President Donald Trump visited China in November last year, his granddaughter Arabella sang Chinese songs and recited Chinese poems in a sweet voice in the video. President Xi Jingping praised her in public. Actually, Arabella has been learning the Chinese language since she was only eighteen months old.

Why do many famous people begin to pay more attention to learning Chinese? The first reason is that Chinese is the language spoken by the largest number of people in the world. Learn to speak Chinese and you can speak with millions of people around the world. Second, with thousands of years of history, Chinese culture is very fascinating.

Learning Chinese well will help you understand Chinese culture better. Of course, there are still other reasons, such as travel, business and so on.

All in all, it is more convenient for you to develop all kinds of relationships with China if you can learn Chinese well.

The junior high school graduates have to take a P.E. test in many places around China. The full marks are usually 30 points and it counts for much in the senior high school entrance exam.

In Nanjing, the test is held in April. Students have the test in their own schools. Each student is tested on three sports. They can choose long jump, basketball dribbling(运球) or volleyball. The pull-up is for boys and girls can choose the sit-up. Both boys and girls must skip in the test.

Most students find the test easy and more than 90％of them can get full marks. That’s because they have been training for it during the three whole years. Students in Junior Three usually do lots of practice in P.E. classes. The training makes the test easier than it seems to be.

Students in Nanjing don’t need to run a lot for the test, but students in Beijing must do lots of running for the test. Running is one of the sports in test. So in P.E. classes, they usually run a lot. Sometimes they have to run 3,000 meters in one class. Most teachers and parents welcome the P.E. test. They say it helps students build up their health.

There is an old Chinese saying, “If someone gives you a little drop of water, you should return a spring of water.” That means if someone helps you a bit, you should remember it and thank them gratefully(感激地) in return.

We should live in a world of gratitude. We should prove it with actions, not just words. We thank people who hurt us, because they teach us important things. We thank people who give us up, because we learn how to be independent. We thank people who are selfish(自私的), because we learn the importance of being kind. Of course, we should thank people who helps. We should thank people who teach us. We should thank people who care about us.

We thank our parents. They work hard all the time in order to give their sons and daughters a better life. They cook meals for us, they do the chores for us, they always give us food and clothes, they teach us what is right and what is wrong.

We thank our teachers who give us dreams. They teach us a lot of things but they ask for nothing from us. We are well-educated by them.

There are a lot of people that we should be grateful to in our life. We should find a way to thank them.

Life comes in a package(包裹) . This package includes happiness an sorrow, failure and success，hope and despair(绝望) . Life is a learning process.    31    With each passing day we learn to deal with various situations.

Love plays a main role in our life. Love makes us feel wanted. Without love a person could become cruel，In the early stage of our life, our parents are the ones who give us much love and care.     32     But we don’t always care about it. It is only after marriage and having kids that we begin to understand others’ feelings. Kids make us responsible and help us understand life better.

Happiness can bring us a peaceful mind. No mind is happy without peace. Sadness is mainly caused by the death of a loved one, failure or despair.    33    

Failure is the path to success. It helps us touch the sky, teaches us to survive(生存)and show us a specific way.     34     So it is very important for us to keep a clear mind after we achieve success. Hope is what keeps life going. Parents always hope their children will do well．Hope makes us dream.     35     Life teaches us not to despair even in the darkest hour, because after every night there is a day.

Life teaches us not to feel sorry about yesterday for it has passed and is beyond our control. Tomorrow is unknown, for it could either be bright or dark. So in order to enjoy a better tomorrow, the only choice is to work hard today.
