A clever idea

These days, we still need to wear masks（口罩）when we go to some places like hospitals and supermarkets. It becomes a rule. We use a lot of masks everyday. But do you know a lot of them may end up on our streets, in the parks and even in the rivers. This is bad for our environment（环境）. A company（公司）in Cornwall Britain came up with a good idea（想出好主意）to solve the problem. They can turn used masks into something useful. These are their steps.

First, they collect used masks.

Then, they remove the straps and once（去除带子和金属线）.

After that, they put the masks into a special machine（机器）. The masks turn into a big blocks.

Last, they break these blocks into small pieces and make little pickers with the pieces.

It’s said that every 45 masks can make one litter pickers. Now in Cornwall over three hundred schools get these litter pickers（垃圾捡拾器）. Students can use them when they help to clean up their streets and parks. “The picker is made from masks. Now I can pick up a used masks with it. I think it’s really cool.” says a schoolgirl.
