My name is Li Ming. I am from Shenzhen. There are three people in my family. My father is a Maths teacher and my mother is an English teacher. We all love playing sports very much. My favorite sport is football. My parents are crazy about badminton.

Have you ever seen snow? Many people in the world have not. Some countries never have snow, some have only a little on the tops of very high mountains. In the north of England, there is quite a lot of snow every winter, but in the south of England, there is usually little.

When a student from a warm country comes to England in autumn for the first time, he feels cool at first. There are often dark clouds; grey sky and cold rain in England in autumn, and most students from warm countries do not like these.

But now is different. Though it is cold, it is beautiful. Perhaps, after several dark mornings, the student wakes up one day, and here is a lot of light in his room. He thinks “Is it so late”? and jumps out or the bed. But no, it is not very late. He looks out of the window and there is snow on the ground and on the houses and everywhere. The light of his room comes from the clean, beautiful snow.

We all want to protect the environment, but we’re mostly too busy or too lazy to put up big change. There is nothing new here but if you follow at least some of these tips, you can be proud of yourself in the protection of the environment.

Use LED light bulbs: They last much longer and they can save energy.

Donate: You have many clothes or things you want to throw. If they are still usable, give them to someone who needs them.

Turn off your devices: When you do not use a house device, turn it off. For example, if you don’t watch TV, turn it off. Turn off the light when you leave a room.

Walk or cycle: Driving is one of the biggest causes of pollution. If you want to use your car, ask yourself the following question: do I really need my car? Walk or use your bike if the journey is a short one.

Detergent (洗涤剂): Use less dose of detergent to wash your clothes or dishes.

leaky faucets (漏水龙头): Fix them, or they will waste a lot of water.

Rainwater: Think of collecting rainwater. This water can be used for different purposes.

All these tips will help you save money and protect the environment.

You are what you wear. Clothes are important and necessary to us, but do you know how to choose suitable clothes in a correct way?     36    

When you go shopping and want to buy some clothes,you should think about which kind of clothes you really need and decide how much money you can spend on them.     37     They tell you how to take care of the clothes. The label(标签) or a shirt may tell you to wash it in warm water. A sweater label may tell you to wash it in cold water. The label on a coat may say “dry cleaning only” and cleaning in water may destroy this coat.     38    

Many clothes today must be dry-cleaned.     39     When buying new clothes,you had better check if they need to be dry-cleaned, that are well made. Well-made clothes last longer. They still look good after they have been washed many times.

Clothes that cost more money don’t always mean they are better made.     40     On the other hand, less expensive clothes may sometimes look better and fit you well.

    41     Jenny has to do the housework after work. She is so busy that she seldom has time to take care of her 2-year-old son, so she needs an app for him to learn and count.

    42     Sam was given a list of books to read by his teacher. But he has just bad an eye operation and needs some app that can store the books and read them aloud to him.

    43     Bob finds it difficult to remember all the new words from the English textbooks. He wants to make progress in a relaxing way for he thinks it’s boring to do a lot of word exercises.

    44     Cathy is fond of traveling. She needs an app that can make it easier for her to buy train or airline tickets.
