Some people think blue will be popular, because blue means peace and kindness. Everybody in the world hates wars. Many people lose their family members in wars. Blue will make people remember to keep peaceful.

Other people think green will be popular, because they think green is the colour of nature. Now the environmental (环境的) problem is very serious. Green is the symbol of environmental protection (保护).

Yellow will be another popular colour. Why? People are very busy these days, because they have a lot of things to do. Yellow is a soft colour and it can make people feel relaxed.

Most people think black will be the most popular colour. It always looks cool, and people often show off their social positions by using this colour.

In fact, black and white are always the main colours every year, because they are easy to match (与……相配) other colours.

Look at the clothes line in the twins’ bedroom. There are some clothes on it. You can see a green blouse and a yellow skirt. The trousers on the clothes line are black. They are not new but clean. Are they Lily’s clothes? No. I know they are Lucy’s. Lily’s clothes are on a clothes tree near the window. Her trousers are brown, her blouse is white and her skirt is blue. There is a new hat on the clothes tree, but it’s Lucy’s. There is an old hat on Lucy’s bed in the room. It’s Lily’s. There are no clothes on the other bed. The bed is Lily’s.
