Hello, everyone. Be quiet, please. The following is what we will do in the following three days.

Day 1——Shanghai to Xi’an

Go to the airport for the flight to Xi’an. Check into the hotel before taking a tour. We’re visiting the Ancient Wall and the Wild Goose Pagoda. In the evening we can enjoy the wonderful Tang Dynasty (唐朝) Song and Dance dinner show.

Day 2——Xi’an to Beijing

Today we’re visiting the famous Terra Cotta Warriors (秦始皇兵马俑). It’s famous as the eighth wonder (奇迹). Then we’re going back to Xi’an airport for an evening flight to Beijing.

Day 3——Beijing to Shanghai

After breakfast, we are going to get on a bus for a morning tour of Tian’anmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Then we’re visiting the Palace Museum. After lunch we are going to the Summer Palace. We can walk along the famous Long Corridor (长廊) and take a boat ride on Lake Kunming. Then after a Peking duck dinner, we are going back to Shanghai.

I’m Robert and I live in Shanghai now. Last weekend, I went to a village for a vacation with my friends.

    26     After two hours on the train to Ningbo and more than two hours on the bus. I arrived at the village. The village looks so small on the map, but 2, 000 people live there, next to a lake and forests.

I stayed with my host family (寄宿家庭) for two days.     27     I could call them Mama and Baba.

They had a daughter called Eva and she showed me around the garden and told me how to grow vegetables. I also went with Baba to a bamboo (竹子) forest. Then we went to the lake to go fishing.     28     We had a big dinner together.

The next day I woke up with the song of birds.     29     I learned a lot about farm work. It was hard but very interesting. That evening, I came back to Shanghai.

    30     And it was a great time together with my host family.

Martin and Jill are having their lunch in a restaurant (餐馆). Martin’s car and Jill’s car are outside the restaurant in the car park. Jill     49     (look) through the window at the car and scooters (摩托车).

“I think scooters are better than cars,” he says.

“They only     50     (want) a little petrol (汽油), so they are     51     (cheap). And I think we can drive them     52     (easy).”

Martin laughs. “Oh, cars are     53     (expensive), that’s true.” He says, “but they’re not     54     (difficult) to drive. And think! Cars are bigger than scooters, so they take more people. They’re bigger, but they’re quiet. My car is quieter than a scooter or a bus or a plane or train. I     55     (buy) it last year.”

I am Cindy. I went on a trip to Paris this summer. I stayed there for two weeks with my parents.

Going to Paris was very     66     for me because it was my first time on a plane. I was so excited and also a little     67    . My mother made all the plans (计划) . We didn’t book a hotel. Hotels are very     68     in Paris. We stayed at my aunt’s house near Paris, so I could visit the city every day with my mother.

The weather was hot but I didn’t mind because there were so many things to do and I didn’t get     69    ! I loved it from the first day I arrived. It was a great feeling to walk in Paris. The city was like a big museum.

First, we visited some very     70     places like the Champs Elysees and the Eiffel Tower. Then we went to the Louvre Museum. We saw one of the greatest paintings in the world—the “Mona Lisa”. At last we took the train to visit Disneyland. We took lots of pictures. The best ride was Space Mountain.

I had a wonderful time in Paris and I loved everything about the city. I will go there again next summer.
