Our school is a green school. What makes it green?

First, we have a lot of trees. There are trees in front of and behind every building. Some trees are green only in spring and summer, but some are green all year round. The trees make our school look like a big forest.

And our school is a green one because we “go green”. How do we do it? We have two “green days” every month. On “green days”, no students or teachers go to school by car. We all go there by bike or on foot. And we also have “Clean-up Day” every month. On that day, students go to street to pick up rubbish (捡垃圾). We also have “Tree-planting Day” every spring. We plant young trees on hills.

Green is not only a color, but also about our life. Please go green with us and make our world beautiful.

In Canada, you can find dogs, cats and horses in every family. These are their pets. People love these pets and they think pets are their good friends.

Before they keep them in their houses, they take them to animal hospitals to give them injections (针剂) so that the pets won’t be sick or make people ill. Then they go to the animal food shops to buy food for the pets. Some people spend (花费) about $200 a month on animal food.

When you visit people’s homes, they can be very glad to show you their pets and talk about their pets happily. People welcome all kinds of birds to come and have a good meal in their gardens. The birds can come and go, fly here and there. Nobody can kill (杀) animals. If you kill an animal, the law (法律) will punish you.

People in Canada have many reasons (理由) to like animals. When children grow up, they have to leave their parents and live by themselves. Then the old feel lonely. But pets won’t leave home. They can be friends and never leave people alone.
