What’s the real success? For me, being rich or famous is not all to life. I might have a lot of readers now on Zen Habits, but I don't feel that’s what makes me a success. Success isn’t about achieving something in the future, but about doing something right now that you love.

I’ve loved my mother’s desk since I was just tall enough to sit above the top of it when mother sat writing letters. Standing by her chair, looking at the ink bottle, pens, and white paper, I decided that the act of writing must be the most wonderful thing in the world.
