Emily's parents said she could keep the little dog. Emily named it Soft because its fur was so soft. Soft slept in a basket in Emily's room. Emily loved Soft. There was only one problem: Soft wanted to play all the time.

When Emily wanted to read, Soft barked and played with the book. When Emily wanted to do homework, Soft took her pen away. But Emily solved（解决）the problem.

Emily played with Soft. Emily threw（扔）a ball, and Soft ran after it. Soft played so much that she got tired. Soft slept in her basket. While Soft slept, Emily did her homework and read her book. When Soft woke up, Emily played with her again.
