How do you get to school? Different students give different answers. Every day I     1     (骑) my bike to school. It takes me about ten     2     (分钟). In our school, about one hundred students go to school by train. Ninety students take the     3     (地铁). Many of my classmates go to a bus     4     (车站) to take the bus. And about sixty parents     5     (开车) their cars to send their children to school.   

It’s easy for us to get to school, but It’s hard for a 10-year-old boy, Dave. He lives in a small     6     (村庄) far from school. It’s about seventy kilometers away. Many villagers there never leave their home because there is a river     7     (在……之间) the village and the outside world. There is no bridge or boat. Dave has to     8     (横过) the river on a ropeway. He says he is not     9     (害怕) to cross the river because he likes his new school and teachers. His teachers are like his parents. He has a big     10     (梦想). He wants to build a bridge over the river. I hope his dream can come true.

Mr. Brown is 40 ____ old. He works in a sports club. His job is to ____ the students to play basketball. He ____ far from the club. He has a car, but he doesn’t ____ his car to work. Mr. Lee’s home is far from the school.     47     He always rides a bike to work and my friend rides a bike, too. They think It’s good for their health and they can get to school early when the traffic is busy. 

    48     Then he takes a shower and has a quick breakfast. At 7:40, he and my friend ride their bikes to school. The bike ride usually takes an hour. “I like riding bikes. I think the bike ride is interesting and relaxing,” says Mr. Lee. He also swims and plays basketball at school. He is in the swimming and basketball clubs, too.     49
