The people in Yunnan have been eating flowers for a long time. After the Spring Festival, March is always the best time to eat the flowers. Spreewald is an area known for its traditional irrigation system (灌溉系统). It has more than 200 small canals (水道) with a total length of 1,300 kilometers. This means there are almost as many canals in the area as roads!
Post-delivery by boat in Lehde has a 124-year-old tradition and for most locals, it is a part of their everyday life. In the winter months, post in Lehde is delivered by Postbus. However, long distances need to be covered on foot, sometimes over bridges and stairs because of the special geography of the area.
A few days ago, postal worker Andrea Bunar started her tenth year as a boat delivery “driver”. In the mornings, the 50-year-old lady first delivers to customers in Lubbenau by Postbus. Around noon she turns to her yellow boat. Every day, she rows 8 kilometers and delivers things to about 65 families. She delivers everything, such as letters, large parcels and even an apple tree. Strong arms are really needed to carry out her tasks: Parcels can weigh up to 31.5 kilograms.

On March 28, China’s first panda-themed tourist train left Chengdu in Sichuan for Zunyi in Guizhou. It soon became the talk of China with its special design and comfortable service. Its inside and outside are decorated with giant panda pictures. Attendants (乘务员) carry panda toys and passengers can try panda-shaped food, as well as Sichuan snacks. Some people call it a “mobile star hotel” because it has a bar, karaoke room, dance hall, and mahjong (麻将) room. Passengers can take showers and use its 5G network as well.
This luxury (高档的) service has attracted many travelers. But train travel appeals to people for other reasons. In the fast-paced times we live in, train travel is a good way to slow down. It gives you time and space to read, sleep, chat with friends, or simply do nothing but watch the changing scenery (风景) outside.
Sheng Yawei, 26, once took the longest railway in the world — the Trans-Siberian (穿越西伯利亚) Railway. Running from Moscow to Vladivostok, it took him six days. “It was like a time travel experience. Since the journey covers eight time zones (时区), I saw my watch go back suddenly.” Sheng said. “The rivers, forests, mountains, and deserted countryside along the way made me feel peaceful.” Train travel is also filled with surprises. You might meet new people. Sheng met a Russian college student and they became friends. “I also met a cute boy who gave me chocolate. What will life be like in the future? Let’s just close our eyes and think. Computers will be able to show their feelings. The computer may think better than the human mind. We will spend more time in front of computers and forget what our real needs are. Many of us may become overweight (超重)!
We will have very small robots and we can use them when we are sick. For example, when you have a stomachache, you will swallow (吞服) a very small robot and it will travel through your stomach, taking video of what’s happening there. The video will help the doctor to find out your problems quickly. Genetic engineering (基因工程) will probably make the human perfect. Babies may grow up to be as tall as Yao Ming or as beautiful as Liu Yifei. Do you agree?

I’m so happy! Tomorrow I’ll be one of the first students to travel into space. The spaceship will leave the Earth at 9 a.m. It’ll take us to the Moon. I can’t wait.
The Moon is around 380, 000 kilometres from the Earth, so it’ll take us about four days to get there. There’s no gravity in space, so we’ll be able to float around the spaceship. We’ll have to tie ourselves to our beds so that we won’t float away in our sleep. Without gravity, our bodies may get weak, so we’ll have to do exercise every day.
When we arrive, I’m going to walk on the Moon. I’ll have to wear a spacesuit to help me breathe because there’s no air on the Moon. I’m going to take as many photos as I can, if my camera still works up there…

Dear Frank, You've heard the warnings. It's reported that fifty percent of the teenagers depend on their phones too much. I think you have this problem too. That's why I think you should give up your phone. Not forever, just for a week. I'm warned that you are developing some bad habits. Social media, games, and apps might seem silly to you, but they help me to keep in touch with my friends. I promise to cut back my phone use, and I won't use it at the dinner table any more.
