Angela is an 11-year-old girl. She has a serious illness that affects her nervous system (神经系统). Her doctors said she would never be able to walk. But Angela was not a    1    . She told everyone that she was going to walk again someday.

But at the time, everyone else in the hospital was screaming and running. An earthquake was shaking the hospital but no one told that to Angela. She believed that she had moved on her own. A few years later, she was able to r    5     to school, walking on her own two legs. She believed in herself and used her strong will to walk again.

On winter nights, the wind usually blows strongly. Most of us stay inside our warm homes. Few of us think about the homeless. These people have no     1     (choose) but to sleep on the streets. Some of them are so poor that they have no money to buy food.

A young man in Birmingham, England, decided to do something meaningful. Every night, he puts     2     a Spider-Man suit and gives food to the homeless. The local people call him “Birmingham Spider-Man.”     3     young man believes that his action will show others everybody deserves a helping hand,     4     (hope) more people may join him.

The 24-year-old man started his work in 2015. Every night at nine, he     5     (buy) some sandwiches. Then, he finds a street and puts on his “uniform”     6     (secret). After that, the “Spider-Man” starts handing his food out to people     7     are in need.
