Looking back at these past three years
I remember many things
Tying to be on time for morning readings
________ when the lunch bell rings
I remember the excitement
Of the school sports day each year
The many long hours of training
Pride of overcoming fear
I remember starting day one
The shyest in my whole class
Never speaking to anyone
And thinking I would not pass
Then slowly I made some new friends
To remember forever
Helping each other with homework
Getting better together
Preparing for art festivals
And making a great big mess
Have fun at New Year’s parties
Wishing everyone the best
We have learned a different language
That is from a foreign land
English brings many challenges
We work hard to understand
And now it’s time to graduate
We will leave our lovely school
I can’t believe it has been three years
I’m trying to keep my cool
But it’s difficult not to cry
I’ll miss the school trees and flowers
And our kind and caring teachers
Wonderful memories of ours

Thank you for your e-mail. Your school life is very interesting. I hope I can go to visit you soon. Now I would like to tell you something about my school life in England.
We have to go to school from Monday to Friday. My school day starts at 8:30 a.m. Classes usually begin at nine o’clock. But you begin your classes at eight o’clock, right? There is a break (休息)for about twenty minutes in the morning. During the break, we can eat some food and listen to music. Usually we put the food in our lockers (储物柜). We have lunch at school.
At school we have to wear school uniforms (校服)and we also wear sports shoes for PE lessons. My school is over at 3:30 p.m. I know Chinese students always have a lot of homework every day. We have homework, too, but only a little, not much.
I have a lot of friends here. I would like to introduce (介绍)them to you if you like. Write soon!
Yours,
Jack

Long time no see! I’d like to tell you something about my new school. I’m in Class 3 with eight students. They’re from different countries—England, Canada, Cuba and America. Our teacher’s name is Henry Smith. He’s very nice. He’s a very good teacher.
I’m living with an English family. Mr. and Mrs. Brown have three children. Thomas is fourteen, Catherine is twelve, and Andrew is seven. They are all very friendly, but it isn’t easy to understand them!
London is very big and very interesting. And the parks are beautiful! Hyde Park, Green Purl, and St, Jame’s Park are all in the city center.
English food is OK, but the coffee is horrible (糟糕的)!
Write to me soon.
Yours,
Paul
