Suddenly a sick man fell on the platform (站台). The man, 20-year-old Cameron Hollopeter, got up, but then fell a    2    —this time, onto the underground track (轨道). A train was coming into the station. It was very d    3    .

He jumped. Mr Autrey lay on top of Mr Hollopeter, and kept him down as hard as he could. The train driver saw them. He was very afraid but he couldn’t stop in time. Several carriages (客车) passed o    5     the two men before the train stopped.

The people on the platform screamed (尖叫). When Mr Autrey heard them screaming, he shouted. “We’re OK down here, but I’ve got two daughters up there. Let them know their father’s OK.” People on the platform cheered and cheered for Mr Autrey. Underground workers h    6     the two men out. Mr Hollopeter was s    7     to hospital soon. He had no s    8     injuries (伤).

Later on a TV talk show, Mr Autrey said, “The only thing that happened to me was that my blue hat got dirty. I didn’t do a    9     special. I just saw someone who n    10     help. I did what I thought was right.”
