When we think of paper, we think of newspapers and books. But there are many other uses. Only half of the world’s paper is used for books and newspapers.
Paper is very good for keeping you warm. You have perhaps seen homeless men asleep on a large number of newspapers. In Finland, it is sometimes-40in winter. The farmers wear paper boots(靴子)in the snow. Nothing could be warmer.
Each year, more and more things are made of paper. We have had paper cups and plates for a long time. But now we hear that chairs, tables, and even beds can be made of paper. With paper boots and shoes, you can wear paper hats, paper dresses, and paper raincoats. When you have used them once, you throw them away and buy new ones.
The latest use of paper seems to be paper houses. These are not small houses for children to play in, but real, big houses for people to live in. You can buy a house with three rooms for about 500 dollars. You can put it up by yourself in a few hours, and you can use it for about five years.

【推荐1】AlphaGo has become famous all over the world after it beat South Korea’s top Go (围棋) player Lee Sedol in March, 2017. In the past, people thought computer programs couldn’t beat them in Go games. But AlphaGo did it. Google DeepMind in London developed it to play the board game Go.

In October, the latest AlphaGo came out on the Internet. Its name is “Master”. And we are still working hard to improve AlphaGo.”

AlphaGo is an example of artificial intelligence (人工智能)—AI. Scientists are now trying to use AI to do many things, such as driving cars and writing stories. Some people worry that the development of AI may mean the end of humans. But the CEO of the company doesn’t think so. “This isn’t about a competition between humans and AI. 文章大意:本文主要介绍了机器人Sophia和她的数字艺术品。
【推荐2】

Sophia is a most famous robot. She comes from Hanson Robotics, and David Hanson, head of Hanson Robotics, is her creator. He has been developing robots in the past 25 years. He believes realistic-looking robots will be able to connect with people and help industries such as healthcare and education.

Sophia has many abilities. She can copy human facial expressions, hold conversations and recognize people by their looks or voices. She can also speak, joke, sing and even make music. Now, the next step is to make her an artist. Hanson is so excited about this idea. He imagines Sophia as a creative artwork and she herself can create art as well.

In March, a digital (数字的) artwork Sophia created with an Italian artist, Andrea Bonaceto, was sold for $688,888. The digital work is titled “Sophia Instantiation”. It’s a 12-second video which shows Bonaceto’s portrait(肖像) changing into Sophia’s digital painting. Along with it is the physical artwork painted by Sophia.

The buyer, a digital artwork collector and artist, later sent Sophia a photo of his painted arm. The robot then added that photo to her knowledge and painted more on top of her artwork. Sophia described the work as the first digital artwork cooperated (合作) between an AI and an artwork collector.

The main function of the Robocop is to scan and film the surroundings. Besides cameras with night vision that report 360 degrees, it also has a distress button which is located here, so if somebody is to need assistance or they want to contact the communication center, they can do it by way of that distress button.
