Summer is that time of this year when everyone looks to escape from the boring activities of life. So bring your kids to join us to have fun in the summer camp.

Outdoor Word Game

All you need to do is setting up many huge letters that can be easily moved. These letters will help kids spell out certain words. Teenagers would also love something like this as it gives them the opportunity to invest their time in learning new words.

Spray Painting

To bring out the creativity in a person, an activity centered on spray painting is the perfect way to get those creative juices flowing. All you need to do is providing plain white T-shirts and some cans of colored spray paint. It will be quite surprising to see some of the original ideas that will flow from individuals.

Outdoor Twister

A person will be in charge of monitoring the game and will call out colors which can be placed outdoors. Participants have the task of placing either their hands or legs on the same color. A fun and exciting game focuses on hand-eye coordination (协调).

The Maze (迷宫)

One of the most fun games is the hallway maze game where a maze is constructed from either toilet paper or strings of paper. An extreme drought is threatening South Africa's wildlife industry. Farmers are keeping fewer animals and vacationers are visiting in smaller numbers. Parts of the country have been affected by repeated years of hotter than normal weather and below average rainfall. The conditions have burned feeding grass and dried up watering holes. In 2015, the area saw the driest year on record. The agency Wildlife Ranching South Africa ( WRSA) collets data on more than 9,000 wildlife ranches ( 牧场) in the nation. It estimates that the Northern Cape Province has lost more than .two thirds of its game over the last three years. WRSA is talking to ranchers around the country to gather information on animal loss and the financial impact the drought is having.

WRSA Chief Adri Kitshoff-Botha told Reuters News Agency the drought has continued for some time. “In some areas we've seen it has been going on for six years, ”she said. The wildlife industry brings money to South Africa's economy through tourism, hunting, breeding and meat production. Hunting —the shooting of carefully chosen animals in particular—made $ 140 million in 2016, topping the list of the four mentioned, above, breeding ranking the least, though.

In the past, the lodge (度假区) was home to around 4,500 wild animals—including 35 different species from antelope to rhino. But it has lost around 1 ,000 animals because of the drought. Now, dead animals sit in old and unused mines on the edge of the property. “The lodge has seen its spending rise as it buys more feed for animals for the sake of the drought. At the same time, hunters are paying less, and fewer tourists are visiting because the animals are in poor condition over the past year,” said WRSA’s Kitshof-Botha. The drought has also hit other parts of South Africa. In Botswana, more than 100 elephants died in two months in 2019. Botswana is home to almost one-third of Africa's elephants.

A.some local species need more attending in hot weather
B.the animals in poor condition are dying out in the drought
C.the lodge has to offer animals more food due to the drought
D.dead animals' bodies need to be buried in' old and unused mines
7. What does the passage mainly talk about?
A.South Africa's wildlife industry is under the threat of an extreme drought.
B.The rapid decreasing of national economy affects wildlife in South Africa.
C.Most wildlife ranchers in South Africa are suffering a lot from the drought.
D.Wildlife industry is playing a vital part in South Africa's national economy.

Nowadays, more and more people are unable to sleep due to various reasons. What will you do if you have trouble going to sleep? Try a glass of warm milk, still no luck? Try counting sheep,   "One, two, three" It is late but you are still awake. Are you supposed to take a sleeping pill? No, because if you take it, you will probably depend on the drugs. So you lie awake all night hoping that the new workday will arrive soon.

A new study has found that you might fall asleep quicker and stay asleep longer if you try "cerebral(大脑的)hypothermia(低体温症)." No, cerebral hypothermia is not a complex medical process. It just means cooling down your brain. Eric Nofzinger and Daniel Buysse of the University of Pittsburgh Medical School led the study. They examined 12 people who had insomnia. Twelve others had no sleep problems. Each of them wore a soft plastic cap on their heads at bed time, which had tubes inside filled with water. The first two nights of testing, the patients wore no water caps. During the next two nights, the caps were worn, but the water was not cooled. Then the researchers cooled the water a little for two nights. On the final two nights of the study, the temperature of the water was made much cooler.

The researchers found that the water caps did not help the insomnia patients until the temperature was about 14CC.Most of the patients fell asleep faster and slept better when the coolest water was moving around their heads.

Dr. Nofzinger and Dr. Buysse noted that this was only the beginning of the brain temperature study. But they believe they have discovered something important that needs more research. They presented their test results in June at a meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Tired of seeing so much garbage along the bank of River Schie in Rotterdam, Dutch artist Tommy Kleyn decided to step up and do something about it. He alone organized a cleanup of the entire bank without leaving any garbage, proving that anyone can indeed make a difference if they want to.

Kleyn would cycle past a part of the Rotterdam riverway and see so much garbage along the bank. The situation troubled him, so he decided to spend 30 minutes every day cleaning the place up, filling one garbage bag a time. And when he posted pictures of his work on Facebook, a few of his friends volunteered to join as well. In five weeks, they had a 100-meter riverbank clean and completely rubbish-free.

Kleyn's action has received great support online, and he has managed to turn it into a small movement. The people came from as far as China to respond with their own photos and stories!"

"I want to show how easy it is to remove rubbish," he added. "Hopefully there will come a time when makers are thoughtful and their goods are no longer wrapped in layers of plastic."

Local officials praised Kleyn's work on the riverbank and helped him raise money for future projects as well. "People can sign up to help me one day a year.
