Passing exams are every student's dream. Fail them is their frightening dream. So, to realize our dreams, many students try anything. They even go to fortunetellers, buy lucky charms and follow lots of old custom. In Korea, many students bury something personal in the university they want to enter. They believed that those things are amazing and will “pull" them into the university. If it works or not, nobody real knows. At least it does ease the students' minds about passing exams. Remembering, though, you can't always rely luck. There is no substitute for a hard work.

Not only our parents give us life, but they offer us endless love and support, always share our happiness and sorrow. I’m very grateful for my parents. Luckily, my parents could understand my stressful condition and often communicate with me with encouraging word. Furthermore, they allow me enough personal space, what I appreciate so much. I had an opportunity to climb a rock wall a few days before. When I looked up at the wall and the little things that I have to step on, I knew it was a challenge that I was going to face it. So I put on my climbing shoe and started up. About half way up, I began to feel tired but I had a belief whether I could make it. So I kept trying and finally I did get to the top of a wall. How a joy it was to be on the top with a feeling of success!
Face a challenge can be a valuable experience in life. It makes us able learn something new and do things that we did not believe us could do.

Things have become differently since I cut my hair short. There were no special reason for me to do this. I just chose from a hairstyle I liked. One day, I go to the theater with my mom. A little boy besides me was looking at my face while I was waiting my popcorn. He might have thought I was a boy. I just turned around, smiled at him and said “hello” polite. He was surprised and apologized at once. He might have realized that I am actually the cute girl. I know people look at me out of curious. Beauty has many forms. I think the most beautiful thing is being confident and appreciating you.
