Last summer, during the vacation I am working as a volunteer in a home for the aged. After a conversation for a nurse and a social worker, I was told my job was to talk old people, take them out for walks and read them newspapers and books. All that might sound a bit bored, but jut after a few days it turned out to be quite difference. They accepted me as if that I were their friend. They have told him their life stories and given me some advices about life. I have learned so many from them. This was a amazing experience for me.

Dear Sally,
Now I’d like to tell you something about my part-time job this summer vacation, of which I worked like a guide in a travel agency.
The work was interesting but tired. I think it was helpful to work this holiday. It was the first time that I have earned money on my own.
I’ve come to understand how hard my parents work to support for the family. I used to keep on ask them for money, but now I’ll never waste money and learn to share worry with my parent. I've learnt how to get along well with others. What's worse, I’ve gained some working and social experience and I have learnt something can' t be learnt from textbooks. All these will be good for my future. In the word, I had the wonderful and valuable summer vacation.
Yours

I still remember how I become a good table tennis player. The first day I went to high school, I saw some of my classmates playing the table tennis. Amazed at how skillful they were, I was determined to be just as good. Late on, I often watched them carefully learn their techniques. Then I kept practiced until I became confident enough to challenge him. At the end of the term I became one of the best player in my class.
I am really proud in this experience. It helps me realize what we all can fulfill our potential and have our goals achieve through hard work. It also helps me better understand the proverb “Practice makes perfect.”

I went to England last summer as exchange student, and stayed there for three months. I used to thinking we had pretty various after-school activities. Besides, I was surprised to find their projects were more diverse(多种多样的). I made friend with the daughter of my home-stay family, which was a college student. He was a member of different kinds of clubs, so I took the chance to join in some clubs, too. Can you believe I make a robot in the LEGO Club? I felt very proudly because I got first prize with my Lego robot.
Time spent in England is such unforgettable that I will treasure it forever.

During my summer vacation last year, I participated some social activities. With the help of my English teacher, I eventually got a part-time job in the city library — four morning a week. I sometimes stay there longer because there were too many readers. It was a temporarily job and I only had a two-month contact with a library. The working hours suited me as mine vacation was just two months long. Although I didn't earn a big salary, and yet I really enjoyed the atmosphere there. That I liked most about my job was working in complete silent. The only noise hearing by me was that of people turning pages while reading.
