“I’ve always been really loving travelling and sharing those pictures     1     others, ” said Namita. But as a yoga (瑜伽) teacher, it was     2     (extreme)difficult for her to travel on her own money. She decided     3     (join)in a travel race called “realize your dream”.

“They asked us to show our love for travel     4     I sent them a picture of me jumping off a waterfall in Mauritius. ” she said. The     5     (amaze) picture won her a spot and after a round of interviews, she became one of the winners     6     entered the finals. Her prize was a 12-day dream vacation to Bolivia. “I     7     (attract) by Bolivia’s beauty at that time,” she said, “All too often, I do believe seeing springs, salt flats and lakes of different colors is     8     unforgettable experience.”

This chance encouraged her to start her blog to record some of her exciting     9     (trip). Now she is living her dream life. travelling throughout the world and teaching yoga. “Winning the travel race made me feel     10     (confidence) about following what I love most, ” she said.

A Frenchman went to a small Italian town and    1    (stay) with his wife at the best hotel there. One night, he went out for a walk alone. It was late and the small street was dark and quiet.    2    (sudden) he felt someone behind him. He turned his head and saw an Italian young man who walked past him quickly. The man was nearly out of sight when the Frenchman found that his watch was     3    (go). He thought that it must be the Italian who had taken his watch. He decided    4    (follow) him and get back the watch.

Soon the Frenchman    5    (catch) up with the Italian.    6    of them understood the other’s language. The Frenchman frightened the Italian with his fist (拳头) while    7    (point) at the Italian’s watch. In the end the Italian gave up his watch to the Frenchman. 

When he returned to the hotel, the Frenchman told his wife    8    had happened. He was    9    (great) surprised when his wife pointed to the watch on the table. Now he realised that he had robbed the Italian man of his watch     10    mistake.

Lisa Osborne graduated from high school last June and is about     1     (go) college. She     2     (invite) to share her suggestions for high school with the new students.

    3     (hopeful), she told them that Orientation Day was really helpful. It’s a fantastic opportunity for new students to get to know the school and to make a good first     4     (impress). During her talk, Lisa encouraged them to deal with new     5     (challenge). She said, “If you fail, no problem — next time you can fail better!” Lisa admitted that she did have some moments when she     6     (prefer) to quit. She once was not selected for a volleyball competition. At first she was sad, but later she realized that she joined the team for the love of the sport. It wasn’t just about winning. She believed there’s always a way to be part of something     7     you love.
