Last weekend, my parents and I start early to visit my grandpa in the countryside where is about 80 km away. When we arrived, we saw some dishes had been preparing for us. My grandpa was more than happy to see me or have dinner with them. As my grandpa is a good cook, so we ate up all the delicious dishes. After dinner, he listened my report about the life in school. He told me to take more exercise to stay health. He also told me to study hardly to get further education in a key university to make the greater contribution to our motherland.

Last year, I took part in the first table tennis competition which was held for all senior 2 students. I had never played on a standard table tennis court ago, or against such good players. I never stopped running or jumping, and soon I was out of my breath and had very little energy leaving. I was sure Wang Peng would easily beat me, and then, suddenly, he stopped. He got injury to his right ankle, and he needed treatment from the school nurse. I won! How a surprise!

I will share one experience with you. With the College Entrance Examination draw near, I was filled with great anxiety. However, I couldn't be absorbed in study, resulting from my failing in the examination. I got very discouraged. Just then, my teacher, Miss Zhang, approach me and said,“In life we all have moment when we can't achieve what we want it. It is natural. Don't allow those moments to weaken you, and turn them into motivation to inspire you.” Her words were a reminder which provided myself with constant encouragement to smile at life. Consequently, I gained what I deserved.
So it is an optimistic attitude which matters most of all. It gives you confidence to deal with difficulties and to achieve what you want in your life.

Dear Mr Li,
I’m terribly sorry to have missed the first two lessons on today. I got up early as usual in the morning, but when I was ready to leave I find my bicycle’s front tyre flat. I wanted take a bus or taxi to school, but I didn’t have any money with me. I had to look for an place along the street to getting my bicycle repaired. Unlucky, there were not any bicycle repair shops what were open in the early morning. So I had to walk to school, carrying my bicycle all the way. That’s why I was later for school.
Please don’t worry about your lessons, Mr Li. I will made up for them and turn to teachers for help if necessary.
