At the Lantern Festival this year, I hurried back home from school to take part the preparation for our big family dinner. Grandparents taught me how to make up dumplings while Dad and Mom made dish. Then comes the dinner time. We all agreed that the dumplings making at home tasted much sweet than those from shops. Then they went to the park to appreciate beautiful lanterns-the most interesting part of this festival. As my mum’s birthday approached, I was considering give her a unique gift. Finally, I decided to make short video to celebrate her fifty birthday. It is Mother’s Day today. Though it’s a western festival, it’s popular in China now.
Mom has a full-time job, so she has to do most of the houseworks. She is a great mother. Both Dad or I planned to do something on Mother’s Day. We get up early in the morning. During the Tomb Sweeping Festival, apart from visiting to tombs, I spent a week help my family pick tea. It was hard job. I started out with picking early in mornings and went back later in evenings. I suffered the pain from my back and legs, which were an unforgettable memory, but I think it was an experience to remember the hardship of life. Do this job is not that easy. Tea is to be picked and then collect together for being processed in a machine. It is getting more conveniently to process tea via machines than by hand. Besides, there is no need to sell tea to factories for money anymore. We just make them for ourselves. Chinese tea is nice and I often drink it with great satisfactions.

Last week, a group of international students visit our school. To help them better understand our tea-drinking culture, we took them to the tea room in our school, that I introduced the history of tea-making and different kinds of tea and so on. All the international students were quite interested my introduction.
Then I showed them what to make tea. I sat at a table, explaining every step of the process while making tea. All of them were amazing. They couldn’t wait to have a try for them. Soon the tea room became live with every international student trying to make their own tea. We had a lot of fun, practicing, and enjoy the tea.
At the last, we took a group photo, with cups or tea in our hand, to record this unforgettable experience.

On the Lantern Festival, my friends and I went to watch the lantern show holding at the cultural square, at what we saw thousands of wonderful lanterns and sculptures. To better enjoy its brilliance, so we went there early in the evening. Arriving there, we immediately attracted by variety lanterns and sculptures shining in the colorful lights. Many residents spoke high of those fine lanterns and sculptures and kept taken photos. In our surprise, there were also special performance there which were enjoyed by almost all the visitors. We spend about three hours there and then returned home happily and excitedly.
