The summer job is a tradition among American university students. Long after the end of the school year, students start their summer vacation job search. They send letters to businesses, going to job interviews, and ask our friends and relatives for help. By June the students usually have been found their jobs and then they begin preparing to enter the world of works.
Reasons for wanting a summer job differs from student to student. Some work help pay their school expenses, others work to gain experience in their chosen professions: still others work just for the funny of it. Salesmen or waiters are two of the much common jobs that students try to find during the summer months.

Dear Richard,
Thanks very much for your letter. It’s very kindly of you to invite me stay with you in June. And unfortunately my final exams were in that month and I don’t yet know the dates. I think they may be in the week when you’ve suggested. In any case, judging on my last Geography result, I will need to be studying. Perhaps we can get something organize for July. If your parents don’t want his house full of visitor in the holiday, you can come to stay with me. There’s a plenty of room and the house is near the beach, so there will be lots to do. Let me know if you think this is a good idea.
Yours,
Li Hua

I have worked from ages 17 to now(I am 60 this year), and I’ve really enjoy my career in IT. One week after leave school, I started to work. Now I do feel that my work has shaped myself in many ways.
At some point soon, I will retire— and I am terrifying! I have no idea that I will do with all that time or why I will do it. I am happy married and have a 21-year-old son. My wife and I can travel and I can read book. There are operas to enjoy it and restaurants to try, but this isn’t going to get me out bed at a reasonable time!

Get rid of the bad habit of procrastination (拖延症) is now my goal of life. My first step is to set small targets which can be reach realistically. For an example, I plan to set a timetable for my study. So, after school, I would put finishing homeworks in the first place. Beside, I will make a list of my important tasks including the due dates. But then I will finish them one by one. I will avoid finding excuses for putting it off. At the same time, I will ask my friends and parents help me. By achieving these small targets, I have confidence which I will overcome procrastination.
That’s all. Thank you!

The custom of clapping have early beginnings. In classical Athens, applause meant judgement and taking part in. Plays were often in competition with each other, and prolonging clapping helped play to win. The theatre was large—it could hold 14,000 people, half the adult male population of the city, that meant that the audience could make a lot of noise.
