Here are some activities(活动) in Laura’s school from Monday to Friday.

Tony Miller and Mary Miller are twin brother and sister. They are 14 years old. They both like watching TV. Tony likes watching sports games on TV. He thinks they’re very interesting. Mary likes watching a Chinese program(节目) A Bite of China (《舌尖上的中国》), because she likes delicious food and Chinese culture.

One evening, after having dinner with their father and mother, Tony watches a soccer game on TV. But his sister wants to watch A Bite of China.

“Tony, I think sports are boring. Let’s watch A Bite of China,” Mary says.

“Why? The soccer game is really great, and I want to watch it now,” Tony says.

Mary isn’t happy, so she asks her mother for help.

“Oh, my dear daughter! Can you watch it on the computer?” her mother asks.

“That’s a good idea,” Mary says.

So the twin brother and sister can watch their favorite programs at the same time. They have a happy evening.

Hello, my name is Alice. Do you want to know something about Chinese food? In China, there are many different kinds of food. Some of them are very popular. Among them, dumplings(饺子) are the real Chinese food.

Everyone in China likes dumplings very much, and there are many different kinds of dumplings. Some have beef and vegetables in them, and some have eggs and carrots in them. But I love eating dumplings with vegetables and pork (猪肉).

Usually people make dumplings at home. If you have no time to make them, you can buy them in a supermarket. Then you take them home and eat them with vinegar (醋).

The Spring Festival is very important in China. When it comes, we make dumplings, and usually we put a coin (硬币) in a dumpling. We think that if one eats the dumpling with the coin in it, he can be lucky in the new year.
