I stayed for a while in Costa Rica (哥斯达黎加) years ago. One morning I was shopping in a local market. I had parked my car a few blocks away at Firestone. An hour into my shopping, I ________ in my purse for my phone. I dug around searching and searching … no phone! Perhaps my phone fell out ________ got stolen by somebody.

I went around to all the venders (摊主) I had visited asking if they had ________ a lost iPhone, but in vain (徒劳的). Disappointed, I walked out of the market with all my fresh produce. In front of me was an old lady in her late seventies walking ________ with a heavy bag in each hand. I observed (观察) many people passing her. At first I thought of doing the same, as I was ________ about my phone. But then I heard a voice in my heart saying help her. I asked the old lady ________ I could give her a hand. She gladly ________ me a bag and we walked on. As we came to a street corner, we had to walk in opposite ________. My mind wondered for a moment and then I decided to go on helping the lady. I saw a warm smile of thankfulness on her face, which also warmed my own heart. After a few more blocks we came to her destination (目的地). I couldn’t ________ her walking so far with two heavy bags all alone!

I walked all the way back to my car. I unlocked my door and sitting between the seats right in view was my ________!

This trip is going to be fun! Our trip designed to provide you with a sense of adventure. We’ll be taking you to places that are less visited by tourists. You won’t be stuck (固定) on a bus all day long. You’ll get to meet other kids and hang out with new people in each destination(目的地). All the young travelers get together to do something without the adults. For example, you’ll have dinner together, then you can hang out, go swimming, watch a movie and do things kids of your age like to do. While you are busy, the adults can get together with other adults on the trip, or spend some time alone. Although it’s nice to have some separate time with friends, family members always get together before the end of the day.

Your parents and grandparents want to take advantages of this special time with you now that(既然) you are older and able to enjoy the world in which we live. Also, the adults in your life value family relationships and get-togethers. Vacations are a perfect opportunity to create lasting memories for everyone.

Also, your parents and grandparents know, although you probably disagree, that it won’t be long before you leave home and start a life of your own. They want to build memories of their time with you before you have your first job or go off to college.
