The story began with a piece of wasted wood in my father’s garden. When I first saw it, I found it was a good piece of wood. “Maybe I can turn it into something !” I thought to myself. Then I went to a carpenter’s studio(木匠工作室). I was amazed by hundreds of woodworking tools on the studio’s walls. A good idea came into my mind and I decided to make a wooden loudspeaker box with these tools.
A kind carpenter helped me check the wood. When I didn’t know how to do it, he taught me carefully. To start with, I fixed the wood to a wheel. Then I learned to use a tool to cut the wood into the shape of a trumpet(喇叭). To make it beautiful, I made a shape of rose on the surface of the wood. Also, I colored it red, making it really like a rose.
I made the inside of the wood empty to make room for the player and glued it to make sure it didn’t fall out. The last important step was brushing the box with oil to make it smooth.
After 10 hours of work, my box was finally done. I looked at my works proudly. From this experience, I not only learned how to work with my hands, but also learned a lesson : __________
