We were having a lesson. Mrs. Fisher was teaching us about different jobs. Halfway through the lesson, Mrs. Fisher stopped talking. She looked at Wendy and walked towards her. Wendy often liked to daydream in class.

All of us turned to look at Wendy. She was smiling. She didn’t realize (意识到) that Mrs. Fisher was walking towards her. Mrs. Fisher called out, “Wendy!” However, Wendy didn’t seem to hear Mrs. Fisher call her.

Mrs. Fisher was mad and she put her hand on Wendy’s shoulder, asking, “Wendy, what are you daydreaming about this time?” Wendy was so surprised. She looked up and saw everyone watching her. Her face turned as red as a tomato. She looked at the floor, saying, “Sorry, Mrs. Fisher. I was thinking about my dream job.”

“Then, can you tell me what you want to be when you grow up?” asked Mrs. Fisher.

“Yes. I want to be an English teacher, just like you. I think it is a very important and cool job,” said Wendy.

Hearing this, Mrs. Fisher did not seem that mad anymore. She smiled, saying, “I’m glad that you want to be a teacher, Wendy, but you must pay attention (集中注意力) in class and study hard. If you are always daydreaming, how are you going to make your dream come true? Remember, ________.” Hearing this, Wendy promised Mrs. Fisher that she would stop daydreaming and pay attention in class.
