I was flying to New York one night. Suddenly, a storm broke and the plane began to be tossed (颠簸) around.

First, wash your hands frequently with soap and water as it kills the virus on your hands. Always wash your hands before you eat or drink anything. It’s also best to wash your hands anytime you’re out in public. And you must wash your hands correctly. Hand washing is one of the most important things people can do to keep healthy.

Second, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with your hands. Why? Because your hands may have touched many surfaces which are contaminated（污染）with the virus. If you touch your eyes, nose or mouth with your contaminated hands, you can transfer the virus from the surface to yourself.

Third, keep social distancing—keep at least 1 metre（3 feet）distance between yourself and other people, particularly those who are coughing, sneezing and having a fever. If you are too close, you can breathe in the virus.

What’s more, put on a mask（口罩）if you must go to a crowded place. Cover your mouth and nose with a mask and make sure there are no gaps（间隙）between your face and the mask. Replace the mask with a new one as soon as it is damp（微湿的）and do not reuse single-use masks.
