Chao opera, also known as Teochew opera, first appeared on the stage of the 2024 Spring Festival Gala. It is a ________ Chinese art form that developed in southern China. Chao opera is supposed to show real life, but our lives today are greatly different from the stories ________ were told in the opera. However, it’s now a dying art. Tan Weitian, ________ 18-year-old high school student in Singapore loves this art. She first went on stage to perform when she was 3 years old. Up till now, she ________ opera practice, schoolwork and friendship. Her goal is to pass down the art of Chao opera to younger generations.
