Mario Vieira is a Michelin chef (米其林厨师) from Germany. He has been to many ________, including Italy, France and Australia. And finally he ________ to work and live in Changsha, Hunan Province, China.

He runs a Western ________ in Yanghu Wetland Park and people like the food there. “When I was little, I liked ________ something different in the kitchen and wanted to be a chef,” Vieira said. “I have been working in Changsha ________ 15 years,” he said. “When I first came here, I liked the city very much, ________ the local people who gave me a warm welcome. I didn’t speak Chinese at that time, but all the people were ________.”

Vieira felt ________ in Changsha. “I am lucky. I have many friends and old customers. ________ always follow me,” he said. “I have customers ________ drive three hours to come here and then drive three hours home.”

In the past 15 years, the German has seen great ________ of the city. Tall buildings have been built quickly; many beautiful gardens have been ________ and people can enjoy colourful flowers. “Changsha is totally ________ from the past,” he said.

“I ________ my wife here. Our son was born here and now he is studying here. My business and my friends are here. China has become my second ________,” he said.
