Have you been asked for money by some disabled beggars(乞丐)while you’re enjoying shopping？Do you have any pity on them who are so poor and lonely or do you just feel afraid of their terrible shapes？As one of the most special groups，disabled people’s living conditions—not only their material(物质的)conditions，but their mental(精神的)world，really need improvement.

The treatment for disabled people should go like this：First，don’t look down upon them. Don’t be afraid of looking at the terrible shapes of the disabled. Try to treat(对待) them equally. Because they are a part of the society(社会)，we can’t discard(抛弃)them. The second is to help them as much as we could. If you can be a volunteer and do some work for the disabled people，that would be very nice. That does help not only to the disabled people but also to yourself because you will feel good after your kind action. If every one of us gives a little love，the world will become a beautiful wonderland！

Young people can have problems with their minds. Some students become worried because they have to study very hard. Others have trouble getting on well with people like their parents and classmates.

Liu Wei，a junior 2 student from Hefei，could not understand his teacher and was doing badly in his lessons. He became so worried about it that he started to cut his finger with a knife. Another student，14-year-old Yan Fang from Guangzhou，was afraid of exams. She got very worried when she looked at the exam paper. She couldn’t think of anything to write.

A recent report from Jiefang Daily says about 18％ of Shanghai teenagers have mental(心理的)problems. Their troubles include(包括)being worried and very unhappy. And they have problems in learning and getting on with people. Many students who have problems won’t ask others for advice(劝告)or help. Some think they will look stupid(愚蠢的)if they go to see a doctor. Others don’t want to talk about their secret. Liang Yuezhu，an expert on teenagers from Beijing Anding Hospital has the following advice for teenagers.

When he was a teenager，Hunter Adams was very unhappy and he spent many years in a special hospital for people with mental(心理的)health problems.

When he left the hospital，Adams decided to become a doctor，so he went to a medical school in Virginia，USA .But when he was there，he did things in a different way. For example，he didn’t like the doctors’ white coats，so he wore shirts with flowers on them when he visited his patients and he tried to make them laugh. The doctors at themedical school didn’t like Adams because he was too different.

But Adams believed that people in hospital need more than medicine. He saw unhappy and lonely people，and he tried to help them as patients，but as people too. He spent a lot of time with children in the hospital and often dressed up like a clown to make the children laugh.        When he finished medical school and became a doctor，Adams opened his own hospital called “The Gesundheit Institute”，together with some other doctors. They wanted it to be a place with a different way of working with sick people.

Hunter Adams became famous during the 1980s，and in 1998，Universal Pictures made a film about his life. It was very successful. In the film，Robin Williams played Adams. Williams said，“Hunter is a really warm person，who believes that patients need a doctor who is a   friend. I enjoyed playing him.”

Liu Wei is very famous in China because he can play the piano with his toes(脚趾).One day when Liu Wei was only 10 years old, he played a game with some friends. He lost both his arms because of electricity. Liu Wei was very sad when both his arms were cut off after the accident. But soon he had to make a choice.“For people like me, there were only two choices. One was to give up all the dreams, which would cause a quick death. The other was to work hard without arms to live an excellent life.” says Liu Wei. Liu’s dream was to be a pianist. His excellent life included a show on China’s Got Talent and a wonderfulperformance (表演) playing the beautiful Marriage D’amour with his two feet on the piano.

Liu Wei learned to play the piano with his feet. And teaching himself to play the piano with his feet was very hard. Many times he wanted to give up, but his parents went on encouraging him and he wanted to make his parents proud. Maybe you cannot believe that Liu Wei is able to play well only with his toes. The audience were deeply moved and very excited when they watched his performance.
