What can you make with pieces of paper？Look at Chen Yiyan's works！The 14-year-old boy has Origami（折纸）talent at Hangzhou Foreign Language School.     43    But he wasn't born with this talent.

When Chen was a fourth-grader, he found his brother's paper-folding book    44    Following the 50 steps shown in the book, he made his first work, a paper peacock, within two hours. Since then,    45     So far,his“fantasy world”has many members, such as monsters and robots. And he made his favorite work last year.    46    

Chen used to fold paper himself until he met Chen Changnan, an eighth-grader in his school, who also loved Origami. They set up a paper-folding club last year. With support from school, they host a paper-folding class every Wednesday afternoon. The club soon attracted many people. Now it has more than 20 members.    47     On February 14th, the club also held a speech for the kids in Wenzhou Children's Library.

“It's really exciting to develop my hobby and share it with others at the same time,”said Chen. “I hope more and more people get to know Origami and love this art. ”

At Carl Sandburg Middle School in New York, a group of students are helping animals. They raise money and learn about things A animal care and safety.

“I joined the club last year because I wanted to help animals and learned how animals helped people,” a student, Betty said. “We did a lot of things for the animal shelters. I also learned how service dogs helped the disabled people. ”

Betty is a member of an after-school club called Helping Animals. The club has about 40 student members.

Laurie Shelley is a teacher and she organized it last year. “We have so many students who love animals and want to help,” Shelley said. “I like animals, too. When people advised me to start the club,I thought it was a great idea. ”

The students are having a yard sale to sell old things. The students also made cards and sold them to students. They made some money and gave it away to the Animal Rescue Force.

Betty said she learned how important service dogs are to the disabled people. “They make their lives easier. They open doors for their owners. They can pick up keys from the ground and give them to their owners. I didn't know they were so great until I joined the club. ”
