Imagine a man who is almost totally paralyzed（瘫痪的）, and has to stay in a wheelchair for the     1     of his life. Can he take it? You may think his life is     2    . But this man didn’t think so, because he had a great friend.

In the movie The Upside（《触不可及》）, Phillip is a paralyzed man. His friend Dell is his life assistant, who was     3     a prisoner（犯人）. At first, no one believed that he could handle the job     4     he is careless, lazy and rude. But Phillip accepts him. Despite（尽管）Dell’s clumsy behavior, Phillip can see his empathy（同情心）.

Dell not only takes care of Phillip physically. When Phillip is afraid to date his pen pal, Dell steps out and invites the woman right away.
