【推荐2】Imagine getting the chance to go camping for five days. It would be an adventure(冒险)in the wild. You could row on a lake every day and leave your smartphone at home. Would you want to try this?

In June, four teenage girls from Minnesota, US, went camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness(边界水域泛舟区). They had a great time—even without their smartphones.

Julia Ruelle, 16, put the group together. Earlier this year, she won an essay contest sponsored(赞助)by a company. The award was a five-day canoe and camping adventure with up to three friends. No parents or guides would be there. This award was supposed to encourage kids to be less dependent on technology.

Ruelle had been to the area before, but she had always gone with her parents. Sharing the experience with friends would be very different. She invited three friends: Anna Wander, Madeline Wilson, and Julianna Torelli.

They came up with a daily plan. “We would wake up early every day. we were done paddling(划桨)by noon. We ate lunch at the campsite. Then it was time for hammocks(吊床), reading, writing, making friendship bracelets(手链), talking and napping(小睡),” Ruelle said.

“I’m a lot less worried about things,” Wander said when asked how she felt without her cellphone. Her favorite thing to do was lie in her hammock and look at the lake. Torelli enjoyed cooking. She made blueberry pancakes and sandwiches.

No one felt hungry or homesick. “Mental(心理的)health can be improved so much. It really helps to get away and reconnect with yourself.” Ruelle said.

【推荐3】Traveling without a plan costs more money and sometimes gets you into trouble.    1     With these four suggestions, travelers can not only save money, but also find transport, food and places to sleep every night in the U.K.

Book your hotel.

If you travel in England during the tourist season, finding a hotel room can be very difficult. Cheap rooms are booked up, especially on weekends. What's more, even the cheapest beds are expensive. Some hostels in London raise the prices on weekends.    2

Plan your transport well.

3    On the one hand, the U.K. train is really expensive. On the other hand, buses offer bottom seats if you book ahead of time (提前),as low as 1 pound between cities. Other bus tickets are around 10 pounds. However, a similar train ride costs about 60 pounds.

    4

Nearly all hostels have kitchens, and they often have enough food. With that in mind, you can cook your own dinner at least a few times a week. The easiest way is to cook breakfast and lunch. Buy some fruit, yogurt, and bread in the nearest shop. You can even cook sandwiches for lunch.

Carry an umbrella or a rain jacket.

5     It's even wetter than you imagine. In the U.K., travelers need a rain cover for their bags and the person. Bus stops are often not covered.

If you follow the suggestions above, you may probably have a better experience when travelling in the U.K.

A.Cook meals for yourself.
B.Make a plan for your meals.
C.You may think it crazy but the United Kingdom is wet.
D.Though trains are faster, buses are great ways in England.
E.Saving a few pounds every day makes you stay longer in the U.K.
F.Here are four important suggestions for travelers in the United Kingdom.
G.So the only way you can find a cheap hotel to sleep in is to book before you travel.
