Jimmy lost his job a few months ago. One day, he decided taking a job interview. His appointment is at 10 am and it was already 8: 30 am. While waiting at a bus, Jimmy saw an old man kicking the tyre of his car. Jimmy gave him a hand. The old man wondered how many he should pay for Jimmy’s help.Jimmy said there was no need to pay him; he just helped nobody in need, and he had to rush for an interview. An old man offered to give him a lift for Jimmy’s gift. Jimmy got dirty after he repaired the car, so he didn’t have much time to wash the dirt off. One by one, many people left for the interviewer’s office. Finally his name called. To Jimmy’s surprise, the old man he helped early in the morning was the manager of the company. Very soon, Jimmy became one part of the company.

Mom,
How are you? You have been away on business for two weeks. I’ll tell you anything about my life.
Every morning I get used to read English aloud with the help of dad. It’s good for my pronounce. Every evening, after my homework is finishing, dad and I ride the bike by the lake. On Saturdays, dad and I do volunteer work to sweep the leaf on the street. Last week we went to the children hospital. It was hot and crowded. And there we met two doctors from an European country. On Sundays, dad and I go to visit at my grandparents on the farm.
I really wonder that you will come back home next week, because I miss you so much. Dad and I wish you to take care yourself in Russia.
Best wishes!
Alice
Amanda is a American filmmaker and actress. She came to China three
years ago to study Performance at Beijing Film Academy. Last month, she
moves to Japan to study Economics at the University of Tokyo. On June 10th,
she returned to the USA. She talked with his parents about the cultural
differences among the two countries.
“The people in both countries are very friendly to foreigners, and they
have different cultures. For example, when I spoke Chinese in China, the
people there always showed surprised on their faces. But when I came to
Japan, I find it was opposite. Most local people there hoped I could talk with
them in Japanese, though I was not good for it,” she said.
Amanda thought this might have something to do with the fact that the
Western group in Japan is old than the one in China. They have stayed in
Japan for a long time. And most of them speak Japanese well. But Westerners
in China are still quite a new group. They’re usually treated as guestand tourists.
I spent four hours practise playing the piano every day. My piano teacher
came three times a week help me. A few weeks later,
I made much progresses. Then the big day finally arrived.
I was so nervous when they called my name. I went up and start to play.
While I was show the music, everyone sat still and listened.
The song was play without any mistakes.
Then I waited for them to call out a winner. When I heard my name,
my heart was beating so quick that I thought I would stop breathing.
I couldn’t believe it. I won! It was the happy day of my life!

Paper is one of the most important products ever invented on man.
The invent of paper meant that more people could be educated
because more books could be printed. Paper provided a important
way to communicate with knowledge. Paper is first made in
China about 2,000 years before. In Egypt and the West, paper
was not very common used before the year 1400. Paper was
not make in southern Europe until about the year 1100.
After that, the forestry countrys of Canada, Sweden,
Norway, Finland, and American became the most important countries
in paper-making. Today Finland makes the better paper in the world.
Boys and girls,
Today, I’m very exciting to speak here
A little months ago, my grandma started to do square dancing
Now she is fitter. But, some neighbours have a complaint(抱怨)
against the people which do square dancing. They think that
the music is such loud that they can’t fall asleep at night.
In my opinion, people can’t do square dancing because it is
of other people and they shouldn’t make a lot of noises.
That’s all. Thank you!
