The Melbourne Star in Australia, is the biggest Ferris wheel in the     1     (南部) hemisphere. It looks like a star.

All the time, I’ve     2     (期待) to be there. So years ago, I went on the Melbourne Star after reaching Australia. I saw Melbourne by viewing it from the sky.     3     (确切) at that moment, I fell in love with the city.

Recently, I went there with my mom in the evening. There was a long line and we waited for more than     4     (四十) minutes to get on. But once we took off, the     5     (了不起) view of Melbourne below our feet surprised us.

On one side, we could see Westgate Bridge, which is often crowded with     6     (交通). In the bright light, the bridge looked like a rainbow     7     (横过) the Yarra River. We were lucky to watch the sunset from a special     8     (地方) .The sun     9     (慢) dropped and the skyline was orange. It almost felt like we were in one of Monet’s paintings.

The ride was about thirty minutes and it was over so quickly. Though the ride     10     (花费) nothing, the view and the feeling I had will stay in my heart for a long time.

I’m Robert from Germany. Recently, my teacher     1     me to live in a Chinese village all on my own for two days.

My trip started early in the morning. When I     2     at the village — Fengpuso, my host family welcomed me with open arms. They had already prepared lunch for me, and they told me I could     3     them Mama and Baba. They told me that they built their house themselves. After lunch, I went to work     4     a farm with Baba. Later we walked to a bamboo forest to cut fresh roots (根), and then we went fishing. That evening, I had     5     freshest dinner I’d ever had.

The     6     day I woke up early to work on the farm with Baba again. After work, we returned home. We had a short rest     7     Mama was preparing lunch. Later my parents took me to a traditional gathering (聚会) together with their     8    . My parents told me all of their friends liked me. After that, I went back to Shanghai.

Even though the two-day     9     was short, it is a good memory (回忆) for me. I’ve really learned how people in Fengpuso live close to nature. I’m also glad I could communicate with     10     well in Chinese.
