To forgive (原谅) is a virtue (美德), but no one has ever said it is easy. When someone has deeply hurt you, forgiveness is possible. People who forgive get less sadness, anger, according to a recent research.

    1     Try the following steps.

Calm yourself. You can take a couple of breaths and think of something that gives you pleasure: a beautiful scene in nature, or someone you love.

Don’t wait for an apology (道歉).     2     If you wait for people to apologize, you could wait for a very long time. Remember that forgiveness does not only mean becoming friends again with the person who hurt you.

Take the control away from your offender (冒犯者). Thinking about your hurt gives power to the person who brought you pain.     3     Learn to look for the love, beauty and kindness around you.

Try to see things from your offender’s angle (角度). If you understand your offender, you may realize that he or she was acting by chance.     4     The letter is from your offender’s point.

Don’t forget to forgive yourself. It is difficult for some people to forgive themselves.     5     But if you don’t do that, it can make you lose your self-confidence.

A.That is the biggest challenge.
B.What should you do to forgive?
C.You should take in more fresh air.
D.Don’t only care about your sad feelings.
E.You may want to write a letter to yourself.
F.It’ll take you about twenty minutes to be better.
G.Sometimes the person who hurt you doesn’t want to apologize.

【推荐3】Mark began to introduce the guest speaker to the listeners, but then stopped for a while. He had forgotten her name.
Barbara hid her valuable things when she went on vacation. When she came back, she couldn’t remember where she’d put them.
Perhaps you’ve had such experiences like these. Most people have. But most of them haven’t realized that they have a memory problem. Neither do they know a simple but important fact: Memorycan be improved. If you’ll just accept that, the following will show you how.
First, relax. If you are over worried about remembering something, you’ll forget it. If you keep telling yourself that your memory is bad, your mind will come to believe it and you won’tremember things. When you forget something, don’t follow up with sayings like “Oh, my God! Ialways forget things!” Such words will have a bad result on you and your memory.
But relaxing isn’t enough. To improve your memory, you’ll need to take an active role. Like your body, your memory can be made strong through exercise. Look for opportunities to exercise your memory. For example, if you’re learning a language, try to actively remember a lot of newwords.
If you don’t take notice of things actively, you won’t remember them. So, you can make pictures of what you see in your mind every day. For example, don’t just put your keys down! If you want to find them again, make a mind picture of the place where you’re putting them.
