Shanxi is in the north of China. When talking about Shanxi, many people may     1     of it’s coal resources（煤炭资源）. Shanxi is rich in coal resources.     2    , you can look forward to a lot more than that from the place.

First of all, Shanxi is one of the places     3     the longest history in China, so there are many wonderful cultural sites（地点）there. Places, like Jinci, the Ancient City of Pingyao, Yungang Grottoes and Mount Wutai are famous all around the     4    .

Of course, there are many beautiful natural places in Shanxi too. For example, the Hukou Waterfall is one of the     5     wonderful parts of the Yellow River. Thousands of people who are     6     in the waterfall come to visit it every year.

Noodles are also a very important part of the culture of Shanxi. Shanxi is     7     “the home of the Chinese noodle”. There are hundreds of noodle dishes.

Holidays are really wonderful. Everyone likes holidays     1     they can do what they want to do on holidays. May Day is coming. My classmates are looking     2     to it. They are making their holiday     3    . Here are some of them.

My     4     friend Li Daming is going to have a picnic with his parents in the City Park. He says there must be many people in     5     park on May Day. He can help collect litter after the picnic. Wang Lingling always works hard. She’s going to go     6     her lessons at home. Zhao Dan says he’s     7     sightseeing in Beijing to visit the Summer Palace and the Great Wall. He thinks it’ s going to be tiring (累人的) but great     8    .

As for me, I’m going to enjoy     9     during the holiday. I’m going to Weihai to     10     my holiday. Weihai is a coastal (沿海的) city. There’s a lot to see and to do. I think I can have a good time there.
