9 . Celebrating the holidays can mean different things to different people. Some choose to leave for a trip, while others choose to stay at home with family. Whichever type of person you are, here are some advantages and disadvantages to both decisions.

Staying at Home for the Holidays

Staying at home for the holidays usually means spending time with your family or close friends. You get to do holiday traditions with your family. When you choose to stay at home for the holidays, you can also have more time to catch up on sleep and relaxation. What's more, choosing to stay at home might be cheaper in the long-run, causing you to be somewhat more stress-free. You can also get to those things you have been meaning to get to and make appointments to get your hair, nails, or whatever else you would like done. Some disadvantages may be that you have to deal with some family members that you may not get along well with, or the boredom when you have nothing else to do. You may also not get the luxury of having your bed made for you, like if you were staying at a hotel out of town.

Travelling for the Holidays

Travelling for the holidays can be an amazing experience wherever you go. Theme parks like Disney World enable people, especially children, to see cartoon characters and fantastic castles. Big cities such as Shanghai usually offer lots of sightseeing, various types of cuisine and exciting activities.
