The journalists from home and abroad for Beijing 2022     1     (invite) to an online city tour of Wuhan at the Main Media Center last Sunday.

The theme of the online tour is “Visit the Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan and taste     2     life by the Yangtze River”.

During the tour, journalists were able to overlook the city landscape on the top floor of Yellow Crane Tower, one of the     3     (famous) towers with a long history. They also learned about local food.

Video reporter Zhu Shuying said, “I’m very happy to join in this activity,     4     makes my life more colorful.”

This was the 19th online tour     5     (organize) by the Beijing 2022 organizers since January 7. So far, the online tour     6     (attract) more than 900 Chinese and foreign reporters. Previous tours included themes like     7     (visit) the Palace Museum to know the restoration techniques of cultural relics. There are also events like exploring the music culture of China in Nishan, Qufu, Shandong.

Ian said in an interview in January that the online tour gave him the chance to feel the charm of Chinese     8     (tradition) culture and get a better understanding of Beijing and other Chinese     9     (city).

The online city tours continued till the end of the 2022 Paralympic Games     10     March 13.

When I was young, I dreamed of travelling all around the world and seeing great places. I’ve wanted to live my whole life     1     (adventurous) and see different parts of the world. It’s better     2     (start) young and to just get going. Once I make a decision, I’ll never look back. So far, I’ve been lucky and my travels through China have been     3     great experience.

The     4     (good) memory is complicated. I really enjoyed hiking around an area     5     (call) Ta Gong in Sichuan. A friend and I hiked there for3 days. The first night we    6     (sleep) in a small Tibetan family, the second night in the open air. We continued walking on our last day,     7     (enjoy) a really sunny day! Meanwhile, I've equally enjoyed smaller experiences, such as the people I've been meeting. On a rainy evening in Yangshuo, I was setting up my camp     8     a man came and asked me to stay in his home. They offered me dinner and a very warm bed to sleep in     9     the night.

There is much beautiful natural scenery all over the country. I’ve met many very friendly people and also had a lot of really great     10     (meal)!

Shennongjia is a household name in China because it’s the home of the legendary “wild man”. Its folk tale spans the generations.

Between 1976 and 1981, the Chinese Academy of Sciences organized three large scale     1       (science) investigations. They have collected hair, footprints and waste suspected of belonging     2     a “wild man”, but some experts argue that most were the result of bears, monkeys or even human beings. They failed     3     (uncover) the myth of “wild man”, but discovered the area’s rich biodiversity. Although several hundred people have claimed     4     (they) as eyewitnesses of some giant apelike creatures in Shennongjia, there is no tangible evidence to confirm the     5     (exist) of a “wild man”.

Nowadays, Shennongjia’s attraction is not merely about “wild man”. Its appeal     6     (be) more about its lively ecology, rich biodiversity and karst landforms. Shennongjia’s beauty varies over the year as nature     7     (take) its course. Tourists can enjoy flower blossoms in spring, be shaded from the summer heat, appreciate red leaves in autumn     8     go skiing in winter.

The “wild man” legend has been passed on for generations by word-of- mouth. In 2016, the legend of "wild man" in Shennongjia     9     (add) to Hubei province’s intangible cultural heritage list. Today, tourists can visit Wild Man Cave,     10     eyewitnesses claimed that they spotted the creatures, and see “wild man” sculptures.

Huangguoshu Waterfall, also called Huangguoshu or Huangguoshu Falls, is the largest waterfall in Asia and the third largest waterfall in the world.     1     (undoubted), it is Guizhou's NO.1 natural attraction. Compared     2     the amazing natural wonders — Jiuzhaigou National Forest Park in Sichuan and Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Hunan, though Huangguoshu Waterfall is less visited by international travelers, it has     3     (it) own unique features.

Located on the Baishui River in Anshun, Guizhou (about 128 kilometers away from Guiyang,     4     capital of Guizhou), Huangguoshu National Park is centered at Huangguoshu Waterfall which is at 83 meters in width and 67 meters in     5     (high). There are altogether 18 waterfalls with various sizes. The total width of the combined waterfalls     6     (be) 101 meters. All the waterfalls form a great “family”,     7     is ranked as the largest waterfall cluster (群) in the world in the Guinness Book of World Records. Huangguoshu Waterfall is so impressive and it can     8     (view) from all angles — above, below, front, back, left and right.     9     (get) the best views and hear the deafening roar (轰鸣), travelers should visit Wang Shui Ting and the viewing platform by Rhinoceros Pool. It is a great idea to spend one day     10     (explore)Huangguoshu Waterfall from Guiyang City.

During the October holiday, my parents and I made a trip to Mount Wuyi,    1    is lying at the junction (交叉点) of Fujian and Jiangxi Provinces. It is a popular tourist attraction. In December 1999, Mount Wuyi is listed as the World's natural and    2     (culture) heritage by the UNESCO.

With rich tourism resources, Mount Wuyi is a good place    3     (relax) ourselves. As early as the Western Zhou Dynasty (1100—771 BCE) , it was well-known as a place of interest. It is    4     (amaze) that there are 2,527 kinds of plant species and about 5,000 species of wild animals. Some of them faced great survival challenges in the past but now measures    5     (take) to protect them by the local people.

Mount Wuyi Scenic Area is    6     (extreme) large. The distance between attractions is so long    7    we were not able to visit all the sites in the mountain. We only reached some main attractions such    8    Heavenly Tour Peak, Wuyi Palace, Dahongpao Tea Trees, Water Curtain Cave. These famous sights left us a deep    9     (impress) . Though tired, we enjoyed ourselves. We're looking forward to    10     (explore) other attractions in Mount Wuyi next time.

China is generally a safe country to travel to, as long as you know     1     you’re going and stay on watch. As the world’s third     2     (large) country, it has vast landscapes that are waiting     3     (explore). There are billions of historical and contemporary stories of people that wait for you to discover. The list of sights to see is endless, therefore you’ll never get     4     (bore) while exploring China.

China     5     (visit) by travellers from all around the world, and is of no danger to any person who understands local cultures and obeys local laws. For     6     most part, China is a safe place to visit, and crowds in public places should not cause any worry. Of course, small risks are still present, including     7     (thief) in tourist areas, as well as at train stations and on sleeper buses and trains. As you have to carry your passport to purchase many things in China, be careful, and always have photocopies or digital copies.

As     8     many Asian countries, crossing the road     9     (safe) does pose a higher risk than usual, especially in smaller cities with fewer traffic lights. Even if you are crossing on a green light, ensure you look both ways and cross carefully, as there have been instances of tourists’    10     (injure) seriously by vehicles.
