The Dancing House in Prague, Czechia, is designed by Frank Gehry and Vlado Milunić. When it was first built, it caused a big debate because of its unusual design. Those against it said the building is not suitable for the surrounding.
Before World War II, there was a 19th-century building where the Dancing House is today. Due to the damage of that building, after the war, it was decided to build a new and modern building to replace (替代) it.
The building of the Dancing House started in 1992 and completed in 1996. The house includes two main buildings. One has curved (弧形的) supporting columns (柱) with glass covered outsides.
The curved form of the building can be felt inside of the Dancing House as well. Inclined columns, metal supports and wavy walls remind visitors what a unique building they are in.

6 . Here are four destinations that have to be included in any trip to the northeastern city Harbin.
Igloos(冰屋)at Harbin Ice-Snow World
At Harbin Ice-Snow World, you can not only see the world-famous ice architecture, but also have great fun! You can have hotpot at igloo restaurants, enjoying the product of both ice and fire, and go down the world’s longest ice slide.
The Sun Island Snow Expo
The Sun Island Snow Expo is the world’s largest snow sculpture(雕塑)art show. You can play in the snow as well as admire the art made from it. Tourists from the south might be surprised by the bright sunshine reflected in the snow, so don’t forget the sunscreen. This is a good place to toss water into the air and watch it turn into ice immediately. Find a safe place with no one nearby, and enjoy the unique phenomenon.
Yabuli Ski Resort
One place you shouldn’t miss when visiting Harbin is Yabuli Ski Resort, where you can ski down snow-covered mountains. Yabuli Sun Mountain Resort is surrounded by mountains and forests. The snow is thick and moderately hard. There are junior, middle and senior ski runs. Professional staff are available to improve your skiing ability and give you an experience of a lifetime.
The Harbin Grand Theatre
It might not be part of an ordinary tourist plan, but it is worth an extra night in Harbin! The winter is cold and the night is long, so why not go to the theatre? Northerners consider it a romantic thing to do in winter. Harbin was listed by the United Nations as a music city in 2010. Harbin Grand Theater is where artistic souls defrost a little to share their love of art.

8 . Crossing the pedestrian bridge that connects our school to its surrounding neighborhood reminds us that there's more to Rochester than just our school.
Study somewhere else besides school. Go to a coffee shop, or one of the public libraries. I like the music library at Eastman, and the coffee shop across the street, Java's. Rochester is full of cafes and spots to sit and study.
Go to a concert, if you're into that. The Little Theater has free live music every single night, and there's a variety of other bars and music halls that bring in local artists. Most venues offer shows for less than $10.
Go for more walks. When you're stuck, listen to music and roam around our campus. Sit under a tree and look at all the people walking by. Or take one of the shuttles that stop in front of the library to a new neighborhood, like the South Wedge, and float in and out of the small businesses along the street. Or, if you know somebody with a car, go to Letchworth and see the waterfalls.
A.Go to the Live Music. |
B.Go to the Public Market. |
C.But how often do we cross that bridge? |
D.No matter what it is, going outside always helps. |
E.If you can focus outside of our own library, do it. |
F.Additionally, all student concerts at Eastman are free for students at our school. |
G.It's no secret that our college campus, like the majority of campuses, is a bubble. |
