For most people before the mid-20th century, it was impossible to travel into space. However, it was some scientists’     1     to help humans to fulfill their dream of     2     space. The night before the     1    (令人十分兴奋的) County Fair, everybody went to bed early. Fern and Avery were in bed by eight. Avery lay dreaming that the Ferris wheel had stopped and that he was in the top car. Fern lay dreaming that she was     2    (正生病躺在秋千里)

Artificial intelligence aims to create intelligent machines. To achieve the aim, many approaches to     1    (create) true AI have been put forward. The dream of AI     2    has been around for centuries has finally become a reality. Nowadays, AI is already being applied in many fields. From autonomous vehicles to domestic robots, from     3    (recommend) systems to computers writing novels, AI has     4    unlimited number of applications. We had just moved into a new house and I had been working hard to get my new room in order. This had not been easy because I owned over a thousand books. We and wildlife     13     (属于) a common life circle, where we depend on each other. The extinction of     14     (大量) animals is an alarm to us. Protecting animals is to protect ourselves, which is urgent. If we do not act     15     (立刻;马上), perhaps the next species to die out in the near future will be ourselves.

The combination of mobile phones and the Internet has brought us a lot of     1     (益处；好处), such as online shopping, information searching, keeping track of events, chatting... Plus children’s performance in school is going from bad to worse.

Strict regulations must be made to protect children. First, children’s games     12     (被禁止) go online. Second, parents should be pressed to change their     13     (错误的；不正确的) attitudes towards children’s education. I sincerely hope a solid foundation can be laid for the future development of children.

Heritage     1     (在……中起重要作用) promoting our understanding of the past history and culture.     2     (然而；但是), the current situation of cultural     3     (遗物；遗迹) is worrying. On (the) one hand, some of the damage is     4     (引起；导致) by humans, such as scribbling in scenic spots and littering. Worse still, with the development of society, some must     5     (让步；屈服) the economic development.     6     (另一方面), some are caused by the development of time. Having undergone historical changes for thousands of years, some cultural relics have begun to age or wear.

It is time to       7     (采取措施) to protect cultural relics to present them to our future generations. First, it is necessary to     8     (建立；设立) a special heritage protection committee to     9     (筹集资金) to ensure its proper function. In addition,     10     (专业的；职业的) instructors are arranged at the tourist attractions to explain the history and value of cultural relics, especially to the tourists from overseas. Furthermore, everyone should make efforts to     11     (阻止) the cultural relics from being destroyed. We should conduct ourselves well to     12     (确保) that our action will not have a bad effect on displaying our good image.

It is not enough to protest against the destruction of cultural relics. Strict laws are a good way to protect the relics from     13     (消失). In my opinion, no law can be too strict to protect the heritage     14     (永远；长久地).
