Family Game Night
Kids often get games for birthdays, and they wanted to have a chance to play with their family or create some games of their own. Charades(看手势猜字谜游戏) will encourage children to use their imagination. Divide the family into teams and let each team come up with words and the other should act out.
Family Art Time
Pick some time for the family to sit down and come up with their own art. It doesn’t need to be just a drawing — take some old magazines, let the kids cut out pictures and paste them into their own shape. Or let them use whatever else they can find to make something from their imagination.
Family Picnic
Taking the family for a picnic is a great way for some fun that doesn’t cost any money. If the weather is nice, take them to a park or playground and let them have a day of playing.
Family Field Trip
A family field trip doesn’t cost a cent. Ask a nearby farm owner if you can bring your kids out for a tour and to see some animals. Or take them to a park to find certain items from nature. Ask a local business if you could bring the family to see how things work—you might be surprised at the number of people who like sharing what they do with others, and it could be an interesting lesson for kids.

7 . Do you long to escape to the great outdoors and experience the thrill of nature’s beauty? If so, then tent camping is the perfect adventure for you! One of the most important “dos” when planning a tent camping trip is to choose the right campsite.
Location
Consider the location of the campsite. Think about how far you’re willing to travel, whether you prefer a camp in the wilderness, near a lake or river, or other recreational activities.
Facilities
Campsite Size and Privacy
If you prefer a quiet and private experience, look for campsites with greater distance or natural barriers between locations. If you are sociable, campsites with group camping options may be suitable.
Natural Surroundings
Take into account the natural surroundings of the campsite. Are you seeking breathtaking mountain views, peaceful forests, or unique lakeside landscapes? Consider the campsite’s aesthetic (审美的) appeal and natural beauty to enhance your camping experience.
Evaluate the convenience of reaching the campsite. Consider the road conditions, distance from parking areas to campsites, and any required permits or passes. If you have limited mobility or are camping with young children, you may prefer a campsite that is easily accessible and doesn’t require extensive hiking.
Reviews and Recommendations
Seek out reviews and recommendations from other campers who have experienced the campsite.
A.Availability and Alternatives |
B.Accessibility and Ease of Arrival |
C.You can also write your own review after the camp |
D.In this way you can enjoy a more social atmosphere |
E.Maybe you are looking for a campsite with showers and picnic areas |
F.Online resources and review websites can provide useful information |
G.The campsite you select can significantly impact your overall experience |
8 . Book Passage Summer Camp: The Author’s Club
Do you have an ambitious young writer in your home? A storyteller? A book lover? This is the summer camp for them!
WHAT: For kids entering 3rd to 6th grade, this weeklong camp will include fun and challenging activities to guide the young writers through creating their own short stories or books. Campers will take the journey of storytelling through every stage.
HOW: We will use our surroundings, both in the bookstore and outdoors, to find inspiration for sensory details. Each day will consist of improving techniques through writing exercises, games, and reading works of published children’s book authors. Students will regularly act out their writing with the group to help them become more reflective writers. There will also be time for crafts, so the authors can create their own illustrations, covers, and bound books.
FUN: While writing is the focus, we will also be playing lots of games and getting outside! Movement will be included each day through morning games and lunchtime outdoor adventures.
Join us for an opportunity to build writing skills, meet like-minded kids, and experience the accomplishment of producing a finished product!
