Another reason to stick to bed-making is that it can help you sleep better at night. A make bed can not only start your day off right, but can also be a nice place to come back to at bedtime. People’s sleep environment plays an important role in the quality of their sleep. Poor “sleep hygiene” like noise light, stress, and untidy things, can lead to a bad night’s sleep. Returning to a bedroom that is a safe place with a clean and inviting bed after a stressful day will improve your chances of getting a good night’s sleep.
If you want bed-making to be a daily habit, try to do it first after waking up in the morning or maybe brushing your teeth. You can even use a reminder on your phone to help to make sure that this gets done.
Whatever way you decide to go about it, it is really just a matter of taking minutes to smooth your bedding in the morning. You will feel a sense of achievement knowing that your first task of the day has been successfully completed. From there you can go out into the world thankfully to have a clean and comfortable place where you can rest your tired body at the day’s end.

I don’t always get up early in the morning. Even if I’ve got enough sleep, I rarely leap out of bed in a hurry to go. Transitioning from rest to activity just challenges me.
