When I was a child, I hoped to live in the city. I think I would be happy there. Now I am living in a city, and I miss my home in the countryside consisted of clean air and the green mountains. Fortunately, the environment has been polluted on the development of industrialization. Lots of studies have shown that global warming has already become a very seriously problem. The airs we breathe in is getting dirtier and dirtier, that causes many diseases. We must draw conclusion and find ways to protect our environment. If you fail to do so , we’ll live to regret it .

Plastic straws can cause serious environmental problems
Every day, Americans threw away 500 million plastic straws—enough circle the Earth twice. People use them when enjoy a cold drink, but according to an app where maps trash, plastic straws are the six most common form of litter in the world. Plastic straws can't be recycled. And even worst, it takes up to 200 years for each one to break up.
To deal with the problem, a lawmaker introduced a bill in February to reduce the use of plastic straws in California. Soon, a waiter provide plastic straws to customers who don't ask for them will break the law. The punishment will be six months in the prison, a $1, 000 fine or a combine of both.
Last week several places in our city were blanketed thick yellow fog. Everything disappeared from sights, highways were closed and traffic jams are commonly seen in the streets. Many people, especial children and the old, had to stay indoors. As a result local hospitals were crowded with people which had problems with his noses and lungs. The polluting environment contributed a lot to this. To have a cleaner air we have to do more to protecting the environment. To live a better life we have to push on with the economy, and it will be meaningless if we have to achieve it at the cost of our air.

Our city is no longer what it was used to be. Nowadays, a lot of things have been done to make it more beautifully. Firstly, many trees have been planted around the city. The whole city is dressed on green. Besides, the polluting rivers have been cleaned up but there are more fish in the rivers. Moreover, a new park, that allows people to have fun and relax, has been built in a center of the city. Finally, people have been encouraged go to work by bike or on feet. Environmental pollution does great harm to us. Tens of thousands of people die of disease caused by pollution. The area of desert in the world is growing and the weather is getting worst because the forest damage. The waste gas and liquid from factories have polluted air or rivers. Everyone is eager to get fresh air, pleasant weather and safe drunk water.
Luckily more and more people have realized what serious the problem is and they were trying their best to take measures to protect the environment. Last Sunday, some of my classmate and I took a bicycle trip along the “East Lake Green Road”. It specially built for people to relax ourselves. This summer, I paid a visit in my hometown. What made me really sad was that it had changed a lot of.

I’d like to tell you something about the problem of pollution we are facing to. As we know, the factory beside our school gives off heavy smoke all day long. Very loudly noises hurt our ears. There is too many people and too many pollution on the earth. If we moved to the moon one day，how would life be like there?
In my opinion, life would be much more comfort on the moon than on the earth. There wouldn't be pollution or traffic jam. We could go wherever we like in one minute by the spaceship, which would be much fast than a train or an airplane. We would eat whatever you like without being concerned unhealthy ingredients. This is a place where I am always dreaming about.
